ECW Irish Drummer (Carl)

Another addition to the Irish brigade for my English Civil War Montrose force.

This time the drummer for the Eureka Miniatures Pike block I'm putting together.

ECW Irish Priest (Carl)

Another model has joined my growing band of ECW Irish for my Montrose force.

This one is another from the range by Eureka Miniatures, a priest putting the fear of God into enemy and ally alike.

ECW Irish Pikemen (Carl)

A bit of a change for this entry from the painting table. It's a base of Irish Pikemen for English Civil War games. I'll be running a Montrose royalist force and these great looking models from Eureka Miniatures UK form part of my first ever pike block.

Painted using mostly washes (or heavily thinned acrylic) on a white prime. Overwash with Games Workshop's Agrax Earthshade. Then working in a few highlights afterwards. I also used Nuln Oil (GW) for the first time to wash into the shadows a bit, pretty pleased with it so will be experimenting with that a bit more.

I've got the rest of the Pikemen to clean up yet plus the command so eventually there will be 16 in the block.

I'll also be adding a sleeve of 8 shot to go alongside them. They're awaiting clean up too.
